Our announcement regarding the Rujira Alliance and the future of Fuzion.

THE TLDR

Kujira’s transformation from an L1 to the app-layer of THORChain will include several protocols merging together. Fuzion is one of them! This evolution includes issuing RUJI, a new token FUZN holders will acquire in exchange for their FUZN.

WHY MERGE?

Providing a full suite of foundational dApps needed several teams to co-operate, and it’s obvious that a great onboarding experience and frictionless user interface for THORChain’s users is really important.

The logical answer to this is the merging of a number of teams and products into a single entity with a unified UX and brand. It’s simpler, it’s easier to understand, and it’s a lot quicker to get the hang of.

This is a rare chance to make a second first impression, and we’re grabbing it with both hands! Collaborating creates an opportunity to make a huge impact. We will accomplish together an order of magnitude more than the sum our separate efforts might amount to. This goes for everything from liquidity, to market reach, and revenue generation.

As long-time collaborators with the Kujira team, the Fuzion team has accepted the offer to join the Kujira app-layer, along with the Wink and Unstake teams and their tokens. We’ll unify Bonds, Pilot, and Ignition into a powerhouse of capital creation and fundraising, which will sit alongside earning, trading, borrowing and leveraging all your favorite tokens.

WHAT IS RUJI?

A new beginning needs a new token, and RUJI powers the Kujira app-layer.

The FUZN token will be accepted in exchange for the new THORChain-based token, which will earn fees from the entire app-layer. RUJI stakers will earn fees from the whole app layer. RUJI is not an amendment to an old token, or an amalgamation of previous denoms. It’s a fresh start with a fresh token, and gives existing FUZN holders the means to benefit from all of the app layer while also creating a window of opportunity for new investors.

WHEN DOES THIS HAPPEN?

We’ll put up a governance proposal soon. Once that is approved, the migration platform will follow, and we’ll commence building out the app-layer.

A lot of steps and processes need to happen to consolidate teams, products, and tokens. We’ll do our best to keep everyone updated on the process, and we’re planning to have everything ready to go early in Q1 2025.

HOW DOES MY FUZN BECOME RUJI?

An exchange rate has been calculated using a Market Cap based formula, and a mechanism will be in place that motivates migrators to act quickly, but also rewards those who are willing to delay gratification in order to earn a better return. Simply put, those who act fast, and have patience, will be rewarded. More details will be released around this closer to the time. As for the 34 million unmigrated FUZN, they will not be merged and the RUJI allocated to them will be shared amongst those FUZN holders who leave their RUJI in the contract for the full duration.

WHAT ABOUT FUZION’S OTHER DAPPS?

Our priority is the launch vertical. A versatile, robust and exciting place to raise funds will draw the maximum amount of attention and interest from users and builders, and those are exactly the sorts of people the app-layer wants and needs.

When that is secured we’ll turn our attention to finding a place for the other services and dApps we have created.
