Weekly Roundup by Team Kujira: Ep.34

GM Kujirans! As I write this, I am hurtling through the air thousands of kilometres above ground on my way to Barcelona. The boys are giving me serious stick for working on the plane, but nothing will stop me from getting out a Weekly Roundup. Pure dedication. So please sit back, relax, and enjoy this week’s episode.

[EDIT]: It is now Monday the 10th of July and I am on the train home from Belgium. Yes, the Weekly Roundup was delayed by an entire week because your boy was not in his own body for the last 7 days. I was hit by a policeman’s baton, ran into the sea fully clothed (yup, including shoes), left the hospital when they said it would cost 500 euros to be seen and got zoinked at the beach to make up for it. Typical Brits abroad. Anyway, here is the article…

As always, these articles summarize all Kujira-related news over the last 7 days, keeping you up-to-date and informed.

Manta Updates

With the arrival of the Osmosis to Kujira bridge within MantaSwap itself, the ecosystem is beginning to branch out. Currently, there is:

On BOW there are currently 4 MNTA pools at the time of writing:

  • $100k MNTA/KUJI
  • $73k in MNTA/USDC
  • $71k in MNTA/USK
  • $12k in MNTA/stATOM

Interestingly, this last pool (MNTA/stATOM) was provided by the MANTA DAO as Protocol-Owned-Liquidity (POL). MANTA DAO offered a Partial OTC Deal through Plasma to raise funds for this, selling 100k MNTA in record time. This is a neat example of how a protocol can use Plasma to diversify a treasury without impacting the market price of their token, and it is likely we see this in use again soon.

Keeping Up with CALC

Fabrizio from CALC recently jumped on an interview with Don Cryptonium to discuss all things CALC-related. You can watch that video here.

CALC has also been directly integrated into Keplr Wallet, giving users the power of recurring swap tech in the palm of your hands.

Finally, Auto-staking got an upgrade with yieldmos, allowing users to leverage CALC’s recurring swap tolls to scale into a position and then auto-compound your staking rewards for $KUJI. Seems there will be more from this partnership yet to be revealed, so stay tuned!

Camelot Arbitrum Grant + Changes to KUJI LP

Camelot has recently proposed a grant to the Arbitrum Foundation to request some ARB to continue boosting liquidity on Camelot — the leading Arbitrum DEX. As a trusted partner, we are very excited by this grant as it means that KUJI-USDC LPs on Arbitrum may receive ARB incentives on top of the existing incentives. This will help to boost KUJI liquidity on Camelot and Arbitrum, offering an easy on-ramp into the Kujira ecosystem.

This brings me to the changes to the KUJI-USDC LP on Camelot. We believe that long-term liquidity on Arbitrum is incredibly important to Kujira, and therefore we have funnelled ALL INCENTIVES to the 2-month lockup Nitro Pool. Those of you that have deposited into the no lockup Nitro Pool will continue to earn swap fees, however to earn the additional KUJI incentives that I have added, you will need to migrate. Those of you that have already locked your KUJI in the 2-month lockup Nitro Pool are not required to do anything. Our move to Arbitrum continues to be incredibly successful and we are very proud to be an official Camelot partner, with many more collaborations already in the works.

To enter this Nitro Pool, please follow these instructions given by the magnificent Pragmatic Monkey.

Hummingbot Live Demo

The wonderful guys from FunttasticLabs team produced a demo of the Hummingbot integration for FIN, which was incredible. You can check out their demo which shows off their Hummingbot adaptors for FIN by clicking here. To quote the Funttastic Labs team: “Kujira API is going to be, no doubt, the most interesting and powerful one on Hummingbot”. Who’s excited to roll out their own Hummingbot strategies?

ARCH Token Live on FIN and BOW

The ARCH token from Archway is now live on BOW & FIN! Users can see if they are eligible for their airdrop by clicking here, and can then provide liquidity on BOW in an incentivized pool.

KP and Kid Kuji Half Marathon

Apologies, this has nothing to do with Kujira but since this is my series I think we can make an exception. I won’t repeat our story, and why we are doing a half marathon — you can read that here — but to summarise:

  • Our friend passed away 3 years ago
  • His family was incredibly well supported by The Compassionate Friends (UK)
  • We are running to raise money for this charity, and would GREATLY appreciate any donations that you can make.

Please, do consider donating here to a truly wonderful that means the absolute world to me.

RIP my brother Dan ❤

Closing Thoughts

Yes yes, I know. This is a short one. My excuse? I don’t have one — i’m drinking Moretti on a plane on the way to Barcelona receiving absolute VERBAL from my friends right now. So this is what you’re getting, a bundle of laughs and a crumb of useful information. Just the way you like it. Take care guys, and see you again next week (maybe). Ciao!

[EDIT]: The irony of “see you again next week (maybe)” is not lost on me.
