Product timeline

We have made good progress in the last week! Audits for RUJI Trade and Pools are ongoing and expected to be completed by the first week of February (assuming no major code changes required). Both products should be able to go live shortly after, subject to THORChain v3.2 upgrade that will enable CosmWasm on mainnet. RUJI Perps is also ready for audit and we are currently securing a slot to begin the audit.

Hans also hinted at the imminent launch of RUJI Swap and the Portfolio overview page, both of which should be live very soon.

Pragmatic Monkey Interview

DeFi AI series

With AI and AI agents being an important part of crypto, we’re excited to announce a new series where Vultisig, THORChain, and we team up to discuss the latest advancements in AI. The series will feature important conversations with leading AI projects and finalize in a roundtable with key players in the space.

The first episode is an introduction into the world of AI and AI agents and how AI will play a role for each of the projects going forward. It features Hans from Rujira, 0xdef1cafe from Vultisig and Eridanus from THORChain. If you missed it, you can listen (future episodes will have video) to the livestream here.

THORChain

Last week, all eyes were on THORChain as node operators voted to temporarily pause redemptions for THORFi Lending and Savers products. This precautionary measure was implemented to protect the network, its participants, and the long-term health of THORChain against the overhang of liabilities from the THORFi products. While THORFi is paused, the other core functionalities like swaps and LP deposits remain fully operational.

THORChain is one of the most profitable protocols in crypto with consistently driving $100M+ in daily volumes and generating $30–60M in annualized cash flows for LPs and Node Operators, which will play an important role in finding a path forward. Active discussions and proposals from THORChain developers, contributors, and the community are underway to shape the next steps, including a possible role for Rujira with tokenized loans. While this situation is challenging, it underscores the core Rujira’s mission: derisking the Base Layer to ensure stability and security, while the App Layer delivers innovative and engaging DeFi tools for users.
