⚡️Rujira updates

RUJI Swap

With SDK 50 expected to go live on mainnet on December 9th, the pieces are almost in place for us to launch RUJI Swap, a user interface for THORChain. While not part of the core Rujira product suite, RUJI Swap will serve as a proof of concept to showcase the ease of building a frontend and handling all the required connections (data, wallets, signer) using the building blocks developed by Hans and Brett.

The data layer, powered by gRPC, will allow builders to easily handle fetching balances from all supported chains and managing caching.

The wallet and signer handlers will allow abstracting wallet and transactions to make omnichain interaction basically invisible.

RUJI Swap will charge a 0.5% affiliate fees (in line with Vultisig) that will eventually be distributed to stakers once the RUJI token is live and staking is enabled.

Perps are on their way!

@Levana_protocol has achieved a major milestone by deploying its first smart contracts on devnet for RUJI Perps. As part of this progress, they’ve successfully launched a dummy BTC/USDC market, gaining valuable experience about building on the App Layer.

This is an important step, as perpetuals are known for attracting a lot of users and generating significant trading volumes, making RUJI Perps one of the key products of the Rujira core product suite.

Ruji Roundtable

Yesterday, @Rujira_Intern hosted the second roundtable, in which @PragmaticMonkey shared some alpha and a glimpse into upcoming milestones. Lots of topics were discussed, including RUJI Swap, RUJI Leagues, RUJI Pool strategies and the short-term developments he’s most excited about.

Hit & Rug

Last week, @NamiProtocol introduced the exciting game “Crack the Vault,” and shortly after, @wenRUJIdotfun spoiled us with a second community game, “Hit & Rug.”

The goal? Win KUJI by scoring points and finishing the round in first place! Rise through the ranks by hitting your targets, assisting others, or holding your ground and use clever strategies to stay ahead and claim victory!

Looking to team up, or conspire, with friends and fellow community members for some gaming fun? Join the official Telegram channel (t.me/wenrujidotfun) to connect and organize games (you need a minimum of two players simultaneously for a game). More players means more fun and bigger prize pools.

Rujira Academy

@RujiraAcademy had another week with lots of content and inspiring updates on their journey, highlighting major milestones and recapping their recent efforts. An important part of their journey was a significant push to expand Kujira’s presence in Nigeria, which they showcased through a great video.

Earlier this year, Rujira Academy also partnered with the University of Bristol to deliver a guest lecture. Building on this success, they’ve secured a role in shaping the 2024/25 curriculum for UoB’s MSc FinTech module. Starting in January, they will, in collaboration with Hans and Pragmatic Monkey, guide students in developing, building and implementing decentralized applications.

With their new release of the Ctrl Wallet, @ctrl_wallet has officially completed its transformation from XDEFI to Ctrl.

Born from the THORChain ecosystem, Ctrl was created with a clear vision—delivering an easy-to-use wallet for the multichain future. From day one, it was designed to seamlessly integrate with @THORChain interfaces, ensuring smooth interoperability and user-friendly experiences.

They have already given us a sneak peek at their roadmap, which includes additional chains and a fully gas-abstracted experience for users. Excited to see what they will cook!
